Kentucky Derby & Things to do in Louisville

Last Weekend - May 6th was the official Kentucky Derby where horses run around a track it takes about two minutes and then it's all over.

This year Always Dreaming won, the 143 Kentucky Derby, while in my dreams we were attending this wild event, I was able to capture our "pre-derby" events so we could participate in the fun.

Thunder over Louisville happens in Louisville Kentucky in April, it is the kick off to all the derby events leading up to the grand hello of the Derby.

Well we wanted so bad to attend Thunder, but the weather just wasn't having us to say hey lets do this. So we did a tour of some places instead.

The photos below are some of the awesome places we got to see on this trip, We are hoping to be taking another trip to Kentucky in July so we can see a few more things.

Kentucky is full of so much history, and it is such a beautiful state, it makes us want to check out more and more things.

I do highly recommend the tour on the  Trolley de Ville. The guides are nice, and helpful. They give a great "show" and if it's not thunder day lol.. you get to see some amazing sights... ok even if it's thunder weekend you still get to see some awesome places and learn about some pretty cool things.

Check out our travel photos from below, it may just inspire you to take your trip here as well..

We are hoping to do a little Bed and Breakfast in Kentucky when we go so please let us know about the ones you know about!
